29 OCTOBER 2021

Dear Valued Clients,

We refer to the announcement made by the Immigration Department of Malaysia on 28 October 2021. Kindly note that with effect from 1 November 2021, MYEntry will no longer be applicable to expatriates holding long-term passes who are entering, leaving and returning to Malaysia, provided that they have a valid pass.

The long-term passes entitled to this exemption are as below:

    1) Employment Pass category I, II & III
    2) Professional Visit Pass (PVP)
    3) Residence Pass-Talent (RP-T)
    4) Dependent Pass (DP) and Long-Term Social Visit Pass (LTSVP)
    5) Maids for expatriates

However, for expatriates who do not hold any of the above-mentioned categories (or has newly approved applications and not holding any long-term pass in Malaysia), they are still required to obtain permission to enter Malaysia through MYEntry. The entry procedures upon arrival to Malaysia are still subject to the existing entry guidelines that were introduced earlier.
