The RP-T has since evolved from an immigration instrument to an initiative that helps address critical skills gaps and diversify Malaysia’s talent pool.
Since its launch in 2011 to December 2017, over 6,400 applications have been approved. 90% of these applicants possess more than 10 years of global work experience, and are top management and technical experts in key economic areas such as Business Services, Communications, Content & Infrastructure, Education and Financial Services.
Through the RP-T, these individuals are able to remain in the country and contribute towards Malaysia’s goal of becoming a high-income nation.
