A. ENTRY PERMISSION FOR EXPATRIATES WITH AN ACTIVE PASS AND APPROVED PASS APPLICATION WHO ARE ABROAD

B. EXIT MALAYSIA AND RETURN PERMISSION WITH AN ACTIVE PASS WHO ARE IN MALAYSIA

1. This is with reference to the latest announcement made on 25 July 2020 pertaining to the Entry Permission for Expatriates AND Permission to Exit and Return to Malaysia. Please find the below changes and updates for the following pass categories:

PASS TYPE
CONDITION

a) Employment Pass Category I (EP I) & Residence Pass-Talent (RP-T)

b) Dependants & Foreign Maids for (EP I & RP-T)






i. EXEMPTED TO OBTAIN ENTRY PERMISSION from Director General of Immigration Malaysia (DGIM).

ii. Upon arrival to Malaysia, cost of PCR Covid-19 Swab Test shall be borne by the applicant.

iii. Compulsory to undergo a Fourteen (14) days quarantine at a Quarantine Centre stipulated by the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA) and Ministry of Health (MOH). The cost of quarantine shall be borne by the applicant.

a) Employment Pass Category II & III (EP II & EP III)

b) Professional Visit Pass (PVP)

c) Dependants & Foreign Maids for (EP II & EPIII)

d) Long Term Social Visit Pass (LT-SVP) for (EP I, EP II, EP III & RP-T)



i. COMPULSORY TO OBTAIN ENTRY PERMISSION from Director General of Immigration Malaysia (DGIM).

ii. Upon arrival to Malaysia, cost of PCR Covid-19 Swab Test shall be borne by the applicant

2. The full latest Guidelines for expatriates and its related passes are as below:

A. Entry Permission for Expatriates with An Active Pass and Approved Pass Application who are Abroad. Please refer to Guideline for the Entry of Expatriate.

B. Exit Malaysia and Return with an Active Pass who are in Malaysia. Please refer to Guideline for Exit and Return of Expatriate.

3. All of the permission above in item A and B is to be sent via email to taskforce_esd@imi.gov.my

5. Please refer to Appendix B for a List of Approving and Supporting Agencies.
