Ready to Apply for the Residence Pass-Talent (RP-T)?
If you’re an expatriate who meets all the RP-T eligibility criteria, you’re in the right place. This is where you’ll find everything you need to confidently start your application journey.
Important: We only accept applications submitted directly by applicants. To ensure a smooth process, please review the sections below carefully. Start your application online by creating an RP-T account here.
Your application will be considered complete once you have:
- Submitted the application form
- Uploaded all required information and documents
- Successfully paid the RM500 application fee (excluding tax) per applicant
Track Application
- Within 21 working days: Your complete and correct application will be processed.
- Within 10 working days after processing: You’ll receive an email with your application status.
- If any documents are incomplete or incorrect, we’ll notify you with guidance on next steps.

- All information/documents provided will also be verified for accuracy by the RP-T processing team before an application is considered complete.

Next Steps After Successfully obtaining your RP-T Approval (Endorsement stage)
01 Approval Notification
Once your application is reviewed and approved, you will receive an email with instructions on what to do next in the endorsement process.
02 Shorten Your Employment Pass
After your RP-T is approved and you receive the notification, you’ll need to shorten the validity of your current Employment Pass to a maximum of 30 days. Please contact your employer to assist with this process.
03 Initiate & Submit Endorsement
Once the pass has been shortened, you can move forward with the endorsement stage.
Important Deadline: Please note that the ENDORSEMENT process must be completed within six (6) months from the approval date. Make sure to shorten your pass before initiating the endorsement process.
