Before You Apply
Confirm your eligibility for the Residence Pass-Talent (RP-T) before beginning your application.

To be considered for the RP-T, applicants have to first fulfill the following criteria:
- Has worked in Malaysia under the Employment Pass for a minimum of three (3) consecutive years at the time of application.
- Holds a valid Employment Pass with more than 3 months validity during the submission/resubmission of the application.
- Earns a basic monthly salary of RM15,000 which excludes any allowances and/or bonuses.
- Has a Malaysian income tax file number and has paid income tax for the most recent 2 years (minimum) at the time of application. Yearly basic salary declared should align with the minimum basic monthly income (at least RM180,000 per annum).
- Holds a PhD/Master's/Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in any discipline from a recognised university or a professional/competency certificate from a recognised professional institute.
- Possesses at least 5 years of total work experience.
* Above is the MINIMUM criteria required for RP-T approvals. However, the approval status of the application is subject to the discretion of the RP-T Panel.

Before You Apply
Confirm your eligibility for the renewal application before beginning your application.

- Holds a valid RP-T pass in the current passport.
- Earns a basic monthly salary of RM15,000.00 which excludes any allowances and/or bonuses.
- Residing in Malaysia and holding a valid employment contract with a company in Malaysia at the time of the renewal application.
- Has a Malaysian income tax file number and has paid income tax for the most recent 2 years (minimum) at the time of application. The yearly basic salary declared should align with the minimum basic monthly income (for a minimum of RM180,000 per annum).
* Failure to fulfil the above criteria will result in the renewal application being reviewed and represented in the RP-T panel meeting for a decision.
Before You Apply
Confirm your eligibility for the RP-T POST-10-YEARS before beginning your application.

To be considered for the RP-T POST-10-YEARS, applicants have to first fulfil the following criteria:
- Has worked in Malaysia for a minimum of three (3) consecutive years at the time of application.
- Holds a valid RP-T pass in the current passport.
- Earns a basic monthly salary of RM15,000 which excludes any allowances and/or bonuses.
- Tax requirement must follow the current website (5 years) ‘The applicant must earn a basic monthly salary of at least RM15,000 (excluding allowances and bonuses) and hold a valid Malaysian income tax file number. Proof of income tax paid for the most recent five (5) years is required. The declared annual basic salary must align with the minimum monthly income threshold.'
- Holds a PhD/Master's/Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in any discipline from a recognised university or a professional/competency certificate from a recognised professional institute.
- Possesses at least 5 years of total work experience.
* Above are the MINIMUM criteria required for RP-T POST-10-YEARS approval. However, the approval status of the application is subject to the discretion of the RP-T Panel.
